It is noticeable in first and second, but its really bad in 3, 4, and 5th. I rode another fellows Vulcan 1500 of the same year and model and it was very quite, no noise like that. This is not a valve noise, its a severe noise which sounds to me like backlash in a gear set. Note, the noise is coming from the left very front side of the engine.
